The black forest is one of the most beautiful mountainous forests in the world. It is located in the southwestern part and bordered by the Rhyne valley to the west and south of Germany. The highest peak is the mountain Feldberg and its height is around 1500 meters. The total forest cover is somewhat rectangular with 200km in length and 60 km breathe.
Forest is the largest source of employment in Germany and around 1.3 million people linked with German forestry, and the black forest is one part of German forestry. Black forest is frequently called “Europe’s green lungs,” these historical woods must be sheltered and conserved.
