Kuakata Green land of great beauty is located in Patuakhali district. Kuakata is the only beach in South Asia where you can stand and watch the sunrise and sunset. Undoubtedly, it is a great thing to observe the rising of the sun through the belly of the sea and the disappearance of the sun in the middle of the sea.
A private enterprise museum has been set up on the left as you cross the Kuakata Berry Dam and head for the beach. Every year from Ashwin to Chaitra in Lembupara on the west side of the beach, fishermen build a natural dry land. In this Shutki village, various species of sea fish are converted into Shutki in a natural way and supplied to the whole country.

Sunrise and Sunset
It is better to go to Zhaoban (Zhao tree forest) to watch the sunrise and sunset in Kuakata. From there the sunrise and sunset look good, there is no doubt that many more people like you will go before you to see how the sun rises across the belly of the sea. There are sea-going ships and trawlers and speed boats for tourists to travel along the coast. Numerous species of fish including hilsa, rupchanda, shark, laitya, shaplapata are dried in the sun and dried and exported abroad. Rakhine Palli
Tourists can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kuakata beach, a tourist center of Rakhine village Kalapara Upazila, and there are many extra attractions for the Rakhine people. The Rakhine community has a nearly two-hundred-year-old tradition. You can see a huge statue of “Gautam Buddha”. The country’s largest Buddhist temple is located in Rakhine village, 10 km from Kuakata. This meditative statue of Gautam Buddha is 36 feet high and weighs about 36 manas. Motorcycles are the main means of transportation from Kuakata. It is known that the beauty of the construction of the temple has followed the architecture of China. The Rakhine people, dispersed from the state of Arakan, crossed the sea under the leadership of their king Mong and settled first in the forested areas of Chittagong and later in Patuakhali. They build their own habitat with their own traditions and culture. The then government provided 3 acres of property to the members of the Rakhine community at that time and 12 acres for their own village. They still exist in the traditional Kalapara.
Ecopark and National Park
The eco-park and national park are located on a 200-acre site adjacent to the beach. Due to the continuous and irresistible erosion of the sea, the coconut groves have already disappeared. To its east, the forest department has created a monolova zhaoban on 15 hectares of sand. Although man-made, standing on the beach at dusk, and especially on a full moonlit night, when one looks down from the beach to the coconut groves and orchards, it creates an immortal heavenly appeal to the spectators. And during the day, when the pure salty air of the sea blows through the Zhaoban, the whistling sound of the wind brings an indescribable intoxication to the ears of the listener in an uninterrupted harmony.
Chargangamati
Char Gangamati is another attractive tourist attraction located 10 km east of the mainland of Kuakata. Standing there one can enjoy the magnificent view of sunrise and sunset. Once on a trip here, you can see the clear reservoir of Gangamati Lake, on one side of which the steep slopes of the sea and the other side of the plains on the other side of the vast forest can not be forgotten. In addition to all kinds of plants like keora, gewa, chaila, khaiya, etc., there is the sound of wild boar, forest rooster, and monkey chirping. It is also close to the Rakhine Boultalipara.
How to Travel to Kuakata
360 kilometers by road from Dhaka and 108 kilometers from Barisal. Several buses from Dhaka now go directly to Kuakata. You can come to Kuakata directly from Dhaka by fast transport, Sakura transport, and multiple transport vehicles from Gabtali or Sayedabad bus stand. If you take these buses, you will be dropped off 200 meters away from Kuakata beach. Fare 500 to 600 per seat. The total time to go from Dhaka to the Kuakata bus is about 12/13 hours. A BRTC bus leaves Khulna for Kuakata at 8 am. It takes about 7/8 hours to go from Khulna. And if you want to come from North Bengal, you can come from Syedpur to Khulna by Rupsha or border intercity train. You can actually go to Kuakata by BRTC bus at 8 in the morning.
However, to reach Kuakata by road after Barisal, you have to cross the Lebukhali, Kalapara, Hajipur, and Manipur ferries. However, all the tourists who want to come to Kuakata by boat from Dhaka can get relief from the misery of 2 ferries. From Dhaka Sadarghat, get in the luxury double-decker MV Parabat, MV Beach, MV Sundarbans, MV Sampad, MV Prince of Barisal, MV Patarhat, MV Upakul Launch Cabin in the morning to Patuakhali or You can reach the tourist center Kuakata by getting off at Kalapara, adding rent-a-car and taking a bus on the Patuakhali-Kuakata route. Launches on the mentioned routes from Dhaka leave the launch dock between 5 pm and 6 pm. Single cabin rent at launch is about 800 Taka. 22 km from Kalapara to Kuakata. Due to the dilapidated condition of the road and the trouble of the ferry, it takes 4 hours to reach the road by one hour.

Kuakata has two bungalows and Sagar Kanya Tourism Holiday Homes. LGED has two, one on roads and highways, two in the district council, and one at the Rakhine Culture Academy.
