Mumbai is the capital of Maharashtra and the gateway to the beguiling of the sub-continent. Of the four cities of India, Mumbai is more cosmopolitan meaning open to all. Anybody can go there for various purposes like- business, service, and tours. I, with my family, made a program for touring Mumbai along with Goa, another attractive tourist spot for the sea beach. Many foreigners come to Mumbai for different purposes also include Goa in their tour programs.
We went to Mumbai for the purpose of touring having temporary residence at my son’s quarter, who is serving in the Indian Navy. For his sake, we were able to look through the shipping yards with the famous ships from outside. Keeping residence in his quarter, we visited the tourist spots taking time in hand, since we had no hurry to leave the city. We went there by train, but this city connects road, rail, air, and sea also. At the time touring, we found different races of people staying, servicing, and making businesses together. They also take their food together. All having different languages, different cultures, but that is not hampering their professions.
Buses, local trains, Autos, and private cars are easily available. For which, we could make our visiting program at an affordable cost and easy way with the help of my son. First of all, we started our tour from the Gateway of India, appropriately the beginning like ‘entrance’ to the port of Mumbai. Its ceremonial arch and altering light of the sun create different hues of gold, pink, and russet to the striking arch. Fortunately, we were able to see both views. Incidentally, the British left Independent India after marching from this port which carries a great significance.
It is quite natural that a city like Mumbai surrounded three sides by seal must have attractive sea beaches. We came to the Marine Drive along the seal beach in the evening after the day-long tour from some of the Museums, Town Hall, Flora Fountain- a busy five-point interception in the heart of the commercial area, Crawford Market, University Building, and the famous Chow patty (Girgaum) – a facelift of Juhu situated at the northern of Marine Drive attracts many visitors for spending holidays or weekends and eating the great ‘bhelpuri, chaat, kulfi, coconut, and other snacks. These eatable items are very popular with the local people and the tourist. We also took some of the items during the visit.
In the end, it could not be avoided to mention by any means Bollywood, the great Cinema Industry. We just visited some of the Studios from outside.
After spending some leisure on our son’s residence, we left for Goa by train and visited the most attractive sea beach in India. Many foreigners add Goa to their tour program due to this sea beach. Formerly, it was under the possession of the Portuguese. Goa is India’s smallest but richest state. Some old churches and buildings are also tourist spots.
